A little about us
We're a mother and daughter flower farm in Raymond, Nebraska, growing flowers that make people feel something.
Rooted Raymond started with a love for flowers and has slowly turned into something much bigger than we ever expected. What began with growing flowers for bouquets and farmers markets has become a whole family operation, with bigger plans, more flowers, and a never-ending list of things we want to try.
We've always believed flowers should be more than just something pretty sitting in a vase. They can change your mood, make someone's day, bring a room to life, or say something when you don't quite have the words. We want the flowers we grow to feel as good as they look.
And we don't necessarily want to grow what everyone else is growing. We love the unusual stuff. The interesting colors, textures, and varieties you don't always find at a grocery store. The flowers that make you stop and take a second look.
As we've grown, so have our goals. We're working toward making locally grown flowers more accessible to florists in Nebraska. We want to change what wholesale flowers can look like by offering beautiful, interesting, high-quality stems that designers actually get excited to work with. Flowers grown close to home, by people who genuinely care about what they're putting out into the world.
And while this whole thing started with the girls and our love for flowers, it's definitely become a family effort.
The boys are the reason half our ideas even make it off the ground. They're building whatever we come up with next, digging beds, hauling mulch, mowing, weeding, digging dahlia tubers, and helping us load up and set up at markets. If there's something that needs built, fixed, moved, or dug, they're usually the ones doing it.
There's a lot of work behind the pretty flowers, and most of it isn't particularly glamorous. We're constantly learning, making mistakes, trying new things, and figuring out how to do it better next season.
We don't have dreams of becoming the biggest flower farm around. We just want to become a really good one. One that grows flowers people remember, that florists love working with, and that our family can be proud of.
And hopefully, somewhere along the way, we can get a few more people to see flowers the way we do.
